DJ CellieMarcel Wright aka "DJ Cellie" is a Jamaican born Mechanical Engineer and Disc Jockey living in British Columbia, Canada. He is family oriented and is married with two sons where music is the heartbeat of their household.
ENGINEER BY DAY: Marcel is currently working as a Senior Mechanical Engineer. Marcel graduated from the Manchester High School and the University of Technology, Jamaica where he earned a Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Mechanical Engineering. He further pursued his studies at the University of Calgary, Canada where he completed his Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on Energy and Environment. MUSIC FANATIC: From an early age, Marcel had a passion for music. During his high school years, he developed a further interest in the art through exploring, creating, and mixing music of various genres. With over 15 years of work in music and his eyes on his dream, he continued to perfect his craft as he created smashing-audio mixes for his listeners and growing fan base. Marcel is very diverse in his music, just name the genre, and he’ll play it. DISC JOCKEY BY NIGHT: His warm personality, boundless energy, pert demeanour, techniques and skill allowed him to make his way to the air waves where he rips up the turn tables live during his shows. Previously, Marcel aired on Fiwe Radio Calgary and now airs on Jamz 403 Radio. In 2015, DJ Cellie was awarded “The Most Versatile DJ of the Year" and “DJ of the Year for 2016”.
